West Burton Kennels Terms And Conditions

Bookings may be made by telephone in person or via email/ online booking request form.

No dog(s), will be accepted into the kennels without a valid UK contact name, address and telephone number.

All prices are charges per calendar day, regardless of drop off or collection time. Each day the animal is present on site will be charged in full.

Cancellation Policy

During peak season (May - September, Christmas) Kennel bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Where a deposit is required, it must be paid within a reasonable timeframe following the request. If payment is not received within this period, the booking may be cancelled or made available to other customers without further notice.

Cancellations made within seven days of a booking commencement date will incur a fee of 30% of the total booking cost. This includes cancellations resulting from incomplete, expired or incorrect vaccinations.

Booking cancellations within fourteen days of a booking commencement date will mean a 50% deposit will be required for further bookings and any deposits paid will be non-refundable. We reserve the right to ask for a booking to be paid in full, if there are historic patterns of cancellations or last minute changes to the length of bookings.

Arrivals/Departures

Arrivals are between 9:00am and 11:00am, or 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
Departures are between 9:00am and 11:00am or 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times during check-in and check-out

Day Boarding Only

Day boarding drop off 8.00am - 11.00am collection 3.00pm to 6.00pm

Inoculations/Vaccinations

To be accepted into West Burton Kennels, all dogs must be fully inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Para Influenza, Leptospirosis and Intrac within the last twelve months. Vaccination certificates MUST be seen prior to boarding.

Canine Infectious Bronchitis

We insist that all dogs boarding with us are inoculated against Canine Infectious Bronchitis (Kennel Cough). You may if you wish discuss this matter with your veterinary surgeon as this is caused by a complex virus / bacteria only some of which respond to the vaccination. The vaccine must be administered at least 10 days prior to boarding and we will need to see the vaccination certificate.

Please note: Dog(s) showing signs of Canine Infectious Bronchitis (Kennel Cough) or any contagious disease will be turned away.

Temperament/Condition

All dogs must be fit, in good condition and of pleasant temperament when entering West Burton Kennels. In the event of a dog(s) falling ill during boarding we reserve the right to call in a veterinary surgeon. All costs to be borne by the owner. This will include any veterinary call-out charges, transportation etc. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure there are sufficient funds to cover this. We reserve the right to turn away any dog which we feel is not suitable to be boarded.

Should any dog be found to be hosting fleas, the person responsible for collecting the dog will at the time of collection, be liable for all costs of treating the animal and surrounding environment considered necessary by West Burton Kennels. Should your dog(s) have any behavioural issues you MUST make us aware of these when boarding. Owners are liable for any injury inflicted upon staff or damage caused to property by their dog(s).

Baths and grooming will be provided by West Burton Kennels as required. West Burton Kennels reservers the right to trim and remove any matted fur that is presenting a welfare concern and causing a dog discomfort during their stay.

Group Socialisation

West Burton Kennels reservers the right to remove from social groups any dog whose behaviour becomes problematic, or any dog who is physically incapable of socialising safely.

All risks arising from social interaction between dogs while under the care of West Burton Kennels remains the responsibility of the owner. All owners must have read and signed our socialisation disclaimer. Any queries or concerns regarding this policy must be raised before any period of boarding.

All adult male dogs over 18 months must be neutered to join the socialisation group. If neutering is by form of injection/implant the owner takes responsibility to maintain treatment. If asked by West Burton Kennels the owner must be able to provide proof of procedure.

Belonging's

Beds and toys provided by he customer will require an adhesive label for identification, we accept no responsibility for damage to owners property as a result of the dog(s) actions.

Subsidised feeding & Enrichment

In additional to the standard daily feeding routine, which owners provide, dogs at West Burton Kennels will be offered treats and enrichment activities as part of their care. This will include, Calf hooves, biscuit treats, dog friendly ice lollies, meat for lick mats. Where required, a small portion of meat may be added to meals to encourage consumption and support appetite. Feeding and exercise will be monitored, and additional feeds will be provided if deemed necessary.
Additional treats and subsidised feeding will not be provided if the owner has requested this exclusion prior to booking.

Abandoned Animals

In the event of an animal not being collected within 14 days of the departure date, we will try to trace / communicate with the owner / contact before proceeding with legal action.

GDPR

West Burton Kennels will store pertinent information as required by the terms of our kennel licence for no less than 7 years from your last booking. We will not share your personal information.
